Team registration is now closed for the Mar. 17, 2018 event!
High schools and middle schools are welcome to register teams of three to six students. Schools may register more than one team. There is no cost to register or participate. All students will be required to sign a Participant Waiver and arrive by 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event. Wind Turbine Kit Assembly Instructions:
Students will use the Teacher Geek Geared Wind Turbine Kits to build their wind turbine models. The kits and all the parts, materials and tools will be provided to teams on the day of the event.
No preparation for the event is required, but teams are encouraged to study the following lesson plans from Columbia Gorge Community College Electro-Mechanical Technology program instructor Jim Carlin to better understand the science and technology used in wind turbines.
