280 Earth develops and grows technology to mitigate – and reverse – climate change. Our Direct Air Capture (DAC) system pulls CO2 permanently out of ambient air. 280 Earth is building solutions that remove excess CO2 utilizing green power and waste heat in the operating process. 280 Earth’s Pilot DAC facility is located in The Dalles, Oregon.
Currently in the first phase of development, the Pilot facility is capable of capturing 500 tons/year CO2. GEN 1 PHASE II will be a 5000 tons/year CO2 DAC system scheduled to start construction in 2025. Phase III development plans are to add (3) additional 5000 tons/year CO2 DAC’s located in The Dalles for a total of 20,000 tons of CO2 capture per year.
