Michael Schock, Wealth Advisor

Licensed in 1982, Michael Schock has worked with many individuals and corporations to manage their financial assets. Michael is a strong advocate for high speed internet and quality telecommunications services: after 15 years in an office in Lake Oswego, Michael moved to the Gorge and continues to serve clients all over the US from his home office or while on travel. As he says, working from his home office in Hood River “didn’t change what I do, it just changed my view.”

Michael serves mostly individuals in Washington, Oregon and California, including many he has met in the Gorge through his participation with the Hood River Library Board, Hood River Rotary, Hood River Toastmasters and the Hood River County Chamber. With all of his experience and access to top resources, Michael knows quickly what works and what doesn’t for a client. He mostly serves clients on a fee basis rather than commission.

Over the years, Michael has witnessed big changes in technology that have impacted access to information for everyone. When he started in the field, financial information came from the printed Wall Street Journal. Now he has a plethora of information on his laptop that he can access anywhere, anytime over the internet – and it just gets better all the time. “It’s a very personal business,” says Michael. “I enjoy working with lots of individuals over the years and helping them. It’s a very rewarding career.”

Michael is a member of the GTA as a “low level gadget guy” who uses a lot of technology and is intrigued by it. He enjoys learning about the latest trends in tech though the GTA and about the fascinating and unique tech companies we have in our community.  Learn more at Michael’s website.
